A Sculpture inspired by Mrs Spink and Miss Forcible. Two obese characters from LAIKA Animation Studios and Director Henry Seliks adaptation of Coraline, a story originally created by Neil Gaiman.
In one scene, the ladies unzip out of their fat skin and reveal a slimmer, more attractive version of themselves. I thought it was an interesting concept and wanted to experiment with this further by creating a piece where a zip at the back of the head was bursting open, revealing something inside which was feasting off of the sculptures obesity.
