A cast of Stu made out of a material which is aimed to explain the reason for his obesity- Toffee.
Melted Toffee poured into the Silicone mould and laid with scrim to enable the cast to hold its form once released from the mould and meant to look like Wafer, then placed on top of the tentacle confectionary tower and drizzled with strawberry sauce- yum! Winner of The Nottcutt Materials Purchase Prize for the most interesting use of material

Tentacles
For the Tentacles, I stuffed with wire, dyed and painted cable long Marshmallow sweets, before distorting their shape by wrapping them in red thread. I also plaited, twisted and knotted different types of Strawberry Laces in order to create a variation of shapes and sizes. I wrapped and overlapped them around a metal pole, glued and tied them in place and drizzled strawberry sauce over the top- allowing them to dissolve and stick together to create a grotesque and oozy explosion.
Marshmallow Cables, food dye, strawberry laces, acrylic paint, wire, bubble wrap, scaffolding pole, red thread, strawberry sauce, hot glue
